Q: Do you have a retail store location?
A: Our retail location closed in February 2020 and we currently only offer shopping through our website and by phone. We do offer order pick up options in Stratford, CT but this must be prearranged!
Q: Do you sell fresh or frozen bait?
A: The Surfcaster does not sell any type of fresh or frozen bait. There are several excellent options in the Stratford, CT local area for bait.
Q: I used to get catalogs from The Surfcaster in the mail. I haven't received one, why?
A: We made the decision in 2020 to no longer print and mail catalogs to our customers. This was a necessary business decision due to the high costs of print and mailing. All of our great products can be found right here on our website, and we may provide some other print items again...
Q: Does The Surfcaster offer rod or reel repairs? Do you build custom rods?
A: At this time, The Surfcaster does not offer rod or reel repairs. We do not currently have a custom rod building partner but may be able to recommend reputable local builders!
Q:Do you offer gift certificates?
A: Yes, we still offer gift certificates. If you order one on the web, and wish to use it there, please request the gift certificate number be emailed to you. We formally send a copy in the mail which can be used if you phone or mail orders in.
Q: When I buy from The Surfcaster, is my information shared with third parties?
A: NO! The Surfcaster does not sell or provide your personal information to any third party unless you request that we do so for repair or warranty purposes.
